Grammar....
I think there is a problem trying to do update or post new stuff in Blogspot right now. As I am typing, I am seeing the ugly 'Courier New' font that I only use it when I am creating word documents for my work (yes, I do use this ugly font for work).
When I am editing posts, I am seeing all the tags showing their ugly '<>' to me that just makes the whole thing difficult to read and edit. Just in case you are wondering why am I editing my past posts, the answer is (drum rolls)..... Grammar.
Yes, grammar, not your grandma; and spelling errors as well. I have a habit of writing a lot when I feel the inspiration (which probably explains why there are so many new posts coming out in a few days), and I do not like to go back and do editor work. I lose my interest pretty fast after spewing out whatever I have in mind and tend not to look back lest I should kill whatever I felt that was brilliant at the moment in writing.
However, as I was trying to brainstorm for some ideas for the first post in 2010, I went back to read through the stuff I wrote, and felt the sore in my eyes for seeing so many spelling errors and obvious grammatical errors. I have to say that I am not perfect at English. Passing my 'O' level was probably just some pure dumb luck, but that does not mean that I do not see the very basic errors in grammar. In fact, some were really really bad that I start to worry if this problem is reflecting in my work emails as well (apparently not as professional as self-perceived to be... sobz)...
I think I have to try to write some simple English so that the bad spelling errors and grammar will not be so obvious? haha.... New resolution: buck-up on English!
Just a few minutes ago, I was watching Chelsea Handler on E! and she was mocking Lindsay Lohan's twitter post. Her new year resolution says: "2010 is about moving forward, not backwards. Leaving the bad (people, habbits, and negative energy behind) time to make changes-right!?!? :)"... and I embarrassingly realised that I spelled the same way she did only a few days ago... oohhh nnnooo....

Cafe Etc Etc
昨天跟朋友A了她的部落格網址，想說有時間上去給她看看然後留言。 結果，花了不到幾分鈡就放棄繼續讀下去了。 =_=... 不是寫得不好，而是我的日語閲讀能力真的有限。。。sigh。。。 還以爲可以留言‘到此一游‘什麽的。 沒有那個能力就不要寫下去丟人現眼。
是朋友也就算了，但是問題在於我這個死要面子，不懂就寧願不說的個性實在讓我自覺丟不起這個臉。。。所以。。。算了，就當我沒有去過吧。。 -_- 不過多等一下可能我就‘突然’讀得順了也説不定。。。
雖然她的部落格寫的都是日語，在這裡還是要推薦一下的。。有紐約跳蚤市的小東西，好的咖啡館她都有記錄，就連menu上的價格都給她記下來了(好細心)。有空去看看吧，雖然她沒有很常更新。

Looking Back....
I suddenly realised that somehow or the other, this blog actually survived till now (and thriving!) since it was first created on 2006~! Wow~!
For someone who is very inconsistent and lazy as moi, it is definitely something to celebrate. There were not a lot of comments, mostly from SD (are you my number one fan?) and Qix. Thank you very much for your support!
Thinking back, I really thought that I will just kill this pretty soon after a few months of starting. There was no specific theme that I wanted to blog about; my life is just as about as exciting as taking a bus / train to work everyday; and I constantly run out of brain juice to post articles that are soaked with humour to entertain readers; etc. etc.
But hey presto! The most unlikely has happened! :D Is this a milestone for myself? Definitely! I hope in years to come, I will still be posting stuff and occasionally maybe hopefully there will be one or two wandering souls who will stumble upon this blog and kept themselves entertained here.
As a celebration for 2010 (belated), I am replacing the blog's background (goodbye sunny beach!) with an old wallpaper from my laptop.... Cheers to a new decade!
P.S. I realised to my horror and embarrassment, that I have made a lot of promises to post pictures, or write about certain incidents. These are not fulfilled and left forgotten in time... so I have decided that I will continue.... to not fulfill these promises. Some things are better left un-posted, leaving it up for readers' imaginations. hoho...
